French onion soup - da real fench

The soup i made today turned out great. Nothing like the French onion from restaurants, since i changed the recipe some.

4 yellow onions
1 tablespoon all purpose flower
4 tablespoons of margarine or butter
375 ml hot water
3 cubs of chicken bullion
100ml red wine
A pinch of black pepper
A pinch of caraway
Salt


In a pot heat up the margarine, add the thin sliced onions, stir until they get soft. 
In a mean time add the bullion cubes into the hot water to dissolve.
Add the spoon of flower, mix well and add the wine, the bullion and the spices.
Boil for 25-30 minutes.
Serve topped with a slice of French panned bread and a piece of Gouda or American cheese.


Just as an idea you can substitute the chicken bullion with beef bullion and the red wine with white.
